SARA SAINI, ROME,ITALY

Sometimes we live our lives without asking ourselves questions about how we really are, who we really are. Or maybe something inside us suggests our identity, but we consciously decide not to listen to it. If it is true that everyone is unique and identical only to himself, with potential, doubts, passions and emotions, it is also true that often today in the mechanisms of social coexistence we end up wearing a mask, that binds behind a common way of acting, of dealing with others, even of speaking or smiling.

But then, it can happen that we miss ourselves, our words, our smiles, our real feelings, or that we meet someone who seems to be like us as we really are, and that's when we want to leave the scene. We want to stop acting and recover our deepest essence, even at the cost of losing what we had built when deep down it wasn't us fully. It takes courage. But we will be able to find it if we realize that what is really worth is expressing an inimitable personality, more than worthy of coming to Light, just because it is the happiest part of us.Happiness is also an important aspect in all of this: were we happy imitating others? Were we happy to follow those conventions? Perhaps more accepted, but happy...

Happiness consists in authenticity, and this authenticity lies in realizing the passion that most identifies ourselves. In fact, there isn't a person who doesn't have a talent which is both fullness and happiness. And it is especially now, at our age that we need to get involved until the end and find it. Talent is totally part of our identity; indeed, it is what will best allow us to express it.

The risk is that, by sacrificing ourselves to obtain the approval of others, we do not ask ourselves what can really make us happy. And this has a consequence: not knowing what choice to make because we have not listened enough, we are led to base our future, most of the time, on what is more convenient or which is able to offer more job opportunities and occasions, although we may not like it. And what doesn’t make us entirely happy or grateful we cannot make it the best.

So even the world of work is corrupted and led to crisis by the mechanisms of mass ideals. Instead, it is Love and Happiness that lead. If everyone did what they loved, they would at the same time express their identity in the purest way and contribute to a hardworking and honest society.
